Introduction
The best foldable phone just got better! The Honor Magic V6 comes in time to push the limits of foldables with a tough build, a strong hinge, cutting-edge screens, great performance and the biggest battery inside the foldable yet. We experience these innovations within the thinnest body to date. We are fascinated by the color!
The Magic V6 looks similar to the Magic V5, but Honor has made sure to upgrade to get your money’s worth. The Magic V6 is now IP68 and IP69 rated for complete dust and water resistance. It comes in four different colors with an incredibly strong hinge and excellent drop resistance, a slim profile, an even less visible fold and different finishes on the back.
The centerpiece of the Magic V6 is still the 7.95-inch foldable display, now featuring an LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with an anti-reflective coating. This year’s cover screen is bigger — a 6.52-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel, enhanced with an anti-reflective coating.
At the heart of the Magic V6 is a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with a full 8-core processor, unlike Oppo’s Find N6’s stripped-down 7-core one. It is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It’s worth noting that the chip has a vapor chamber cooling solution, though it’s on par with top-shelf chipsets.
The camera department hasn’t changed much since the Magic V5. There are three high-res cameras on the back – a 50MP primary, a 64MP 3x telephoto and a 50MP imager for ultra-wide-angle and macro shots. There are two 20MP cameras on each screen.

One of the most impressive features of the Magic V6 is the 6,600mAh battery with 80W wired and 66W wireless charging capabilities. Battery capacity has seen a solid increase from the Magic V5’s 5820mAh battery, and Honor promises up to 24h of battery life on the big screen. There is also support for reverse wired and wireless charging.
By the way, the Chinese versions of the V6 have 6,850mAh and 7,150mAh cells.
Finally, the Honor Magic V6 boots Android 16 with MagicOS 10. The latter comes with improved iOS-like transparent UI and improved cross-platform compatibility (mostly with iOS and macOS). And don’t forget the plethora of AI functions available out of the box.

The Honor Magic V6 seems to tick all the right boxes, and it’s exciting to see if it really delivers on its promises. But first, an unboxing.
Unboxing the Honor Magic V6
The Honor Magic V6 is shipped in a large black box containing the phone and USB-C cable.

Also part of the retail package is a color-matched case (with kickstand), red and gold.

The EU version of the package does not include a charger. If you’re into faster charging speeds, your best bet is to get one of Honor’s own chargers (rated at 66W or higher), but if you’re buying the charger separately, make sure it’s the newer version with a USB-C port.
