Ampleum is a dedicated destination for immersive video on Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, with a curated mix of short immersive documentaries to music experiences.
It can be difficult to find unique immersive experiences unless there is a strong campaign for headset owners, or easy to find within apps that people are already browsing. For smaller immersive studios, being featured by Apple in the App Store or Apple TV app can temporarily boost views before other content is promoted, but beyond that, without internal or external discovery support, studios will struggle to get their content seen.
There’s some great narrative immersive content out there, and Amplium offers a way to make it easy for Apple Vision Pro owners to discover more of it once they’ve downloaded the app.
And high-speed video helps to become discoverable
Amplium currently has more than 10 immersive video experiences, each of which is free to watch, and more titles from studio partners are actively being added. The app is also free to download.
Hibiki Sato, co-founder & CEO of Amplium, shares that they help make it easier for the studios behind their focused video content to “encode, host and distribute”. Although all content is currently free, paid content will be added soon. “Because the market is still so new, the priority for our current creators is to get their work in front of a wider audience … rather than getting paid right away.
Currently, Amplium is focused on work that benefits from visual fidelity and spatial audio for high-speed video in Apple Vision Pro.
Sato shares “We only work with content captured in Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive, run it through our own encoding pipeline, and play it back in our own player. Owning the entire chain, from source to playback, means that every part stays close to the creator’s originality.” Amplium wants to integrate live immersive streaming “with the arrival of the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 100G”. A focus on visual and audio fidelity gives Amplium a consistency across the catalog, even as the types of experiences and operating styles vary.
The curated collection amphitheater is worth a visit
The best reason to get the Ambulium is the variety of experiences it adds, some very different from what you’ll find on Apple TV. Amplium isn’t limited to a specific type of content like a platform like Apple TV. The current list already ranges from short thriller documentaries to more experimental experiences.
There are some immersive videos that really excite me, with the quality of direction the creators clearly consider how it feels to watch each story live-captured, and the subtle elements that make virtual visits feel more real. For example, Chiaki Mayumura’s Shibuya Freefall by NHK Technologies is an amazing music video experience that takes you through some incredible cityscapes and fun, colorful dance performances. Kick from the Heights.101 takes you to the French Alps so you can get to know what freeriders are like there and enjoy the sights and sounds of everything from sunrises to their daring ski jumps.
Additional content is coming, including high-speed videos related to the sport, such as a short documentary that follows the athlete during the Ironman. Amplium also creates immersive video for the app, starting with a featured experience with Japanese soccer legend Keisuke Honda and other national team stars.
A simple interface focuses on experiences

Ampleum is intuitive to use. Scroll through the available videos to select the one you want to enjoy. Just like any other high-speed video in Apple Vision Pro, you can easily pause, rewind, fast-forward, jump between scenes, and adjust the audio while watching.
As more topics are added, along with paid experiences, the browsing experience can benefit from additional structure to ensure that the browsing experience is even simpler to browse and discover based on interests. If Emblem chooses to add features like categories for categories and the ability to search a growing catalog, it will give them more insight into what their audience is looking for to inform what content to add next.
Emblem integrates sign-in with Apple, making it easier for users to sign in and improving their ability to personalize the user experience while learning more about individual behaviors. It also gives Amplium a way to send email updates based on users’ interests, alerting them to high-speed videos they haven’t yet discovered.
