Introduction
Infinix’s GT series has matured well since 2023 and the new Infinix GT 50 Pro is an easy-to-love gaming phone for its design, features and pricing.
Every year there are less and less gaming oriented smartphones. Asus was once a maker of mobile gaming gear, but there won’t be a new ROG Phone until 2024. Nubia is still pushing new RedMagic phones, but while cool, their prices are pretty steep. This is where the Infinix GT 50 Pro comes into play.
The new GT 50 Pro introduces a new design with even more advanced RGB lighting, visible liquid cooling and improved shoulder triggers. The phone is still IP64-rated for dust and splash resistance.
The GT 50 Pro relies on a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1208 x 2644 pixels, 10-bit color depth, 144Hz refresh rate and 330Hz touch model. The phone uses a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset with an all large core CPU design, UFS 4.1 storage and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM.

The camera department of the GT 50 Pro is the most impressive part with a 50MP OIS primary, 8MP ultrawide and a 13MP selfie imager. Dual triggers can be used to map many camera application features and at least in terms of control this average setting can be turned into a biased standard.
The GT 50 Pro is powered by a 6,500mAh battery that supports 45W wired, 30W wireless and 5W reverse wireless charging. Bypass wireless charging is available, but you’ll need the GT MaxCharge Cooler accessory to enable it.
Finally, the phone runs Android 16 with XOS 16 and will receive 5 major Android updates.

Unboxing the Infinix GT 50 Pro
The Infinix GT 50 Pro ships inside a cool-looking box with a sleek textured surface that feels frosty to the touch.

The box contains the phone, a 45W power adapter, a USB cable and a transparent case with magnetic attachment support.
If you want to get the most out of your new GT 50 Pro, you might want to get Infinix’s new MagCharge Cooler 2.0 accessory.

The cooler attaches magnetically to the back of the case and can provide both 15W wireless charging and 12W thermoelectric cooling (TEC). You can enable wireless bypass charging, which will deliver power directly to the motherboard while gaming.
